Help my unbelief
Read in your Bible: Mark 8–9.
Jesus teaches that following Him includes the way of the cross, reveals His glory to three disciples and meets a father desperate for his child's help. The father's prayer joins belief with an honest admission of struggle. Later, the disciples' argument about greatness exposes their continuing need to learn.
Faith does not require concealing uncertainty behind confident language. The father's particular answer does not guarantee every requested healing, and continued illness does not prove inadequate belief. Dependence on Christ can include appropriate care, honest prayer and patient support through unresolved distress.
Bring a struggle in faith plainly to Jesus. Ask for help without setting a test that He must meet on your timetable. Offer patient care to a family living with illness rather than evaluating their spiritual strength from the outcome.

What uncertainty would I bring to Jesus if I did not feel obliged to sound certain?
Pray honestly about a struggle and offer practical support to a household facing illness.
Let us pray
Compassionate Saviour, receive the trust and uncertainty I bring together. Strengthen dependence on You, guide appropriate help and keep me from judging another person's faith by whether their suffering has ended. Amen.
