Moved toward the person
Read in your Bible: Matthew 8–10.
Jesus heals, calls Matthew and shares a table with people dismissed by religious observers. Seeing the crowds, He is moved with compassion because they are harassed and helpless. His instruction to the disciples grows from attention to real people rather than an abstract religious programme.
Christ's compassion does not make illness a measure of someone's sin or faith. His particular miracles reveal His authority and goodness without guaranteeing every requested cure now. His table fellowship also challenges the habit of requiring social respectability before offering welcome.
Look beyond a label attached to someone and ask about their actual circumstances. Offer a respectful kindness without making them a project. Pray for workers who serve faithfully and consider one practical way you can support their care.

Whose label prevents me from noticing their actual need or dignity?
Listen to someone outside your usual circle and offer a fitting, pressure-free kindness.
Let us pray
Compassionate Saviour, teach me to see people beyond labels. Make my welcome respectful, my help useful and my witness attentive to real needs rather than to the appearance of a successful programme. Amen.
